Mr. Francis Randall Rush made his transition from this earthly life to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at High Point Regional Hospital.
He was born May 22, 1943 to the late Wilbur and Melita Powell Rush. He graduated from William Penn High School and attended North Carolina Central University. Randall joined St. Mary’s United Methodist Church at an early age. He was a Spec. 4 in the US Army. He enjoyed traveling especially throughout his career as a professional truck driver. Randall was last employed with HFCS Transport having won the honor of driver representative and driver of the year.
He was a united in Holy Matrimony to Lucy Cotton Rush. From this union two children were born, Adrienne Rush and Ambros Rush.
Left to cherish his memories: his devoted wife of 41 years Lucy Cotton Rush of the home, two children, Adrienne Rush and Ambros Rush. Three grandchildren; Corey and Courtney Steed, and Jalen Gilmore; other children left to cherish his memory are: Elder Kevin Jarmen, Mike Griffin and Angie Cunningham; one sister, Mrs. Rhonda (Grova) Bridges; one brother, Maurice Rush; one aunt, Ometa Lindsey; four brothers-in- law; two sisters-in- law; two devoted cousins, Josiah Holmes and Carlton (Shirley) Holmes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and beloved friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 4 p.m. at Church of God of Prophecy, 1100 Stanton Place, High Point, NC. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the church and at other times at 5372 Grey Oaks Rd, Trinity, NC.
